Custom lettering created for Pink October
In Noirmoutier, a new lettering installation has been created to support the Pink October breast cancer awareness campaign. Manufactured by 3D Concrete using 3D concrete printing, it displays the name NOIRMOUTIER in a distinctive shade of pink, immediately associated with breast cancer awareness.
Measuring 1.10 metres high and 3.50 metres long, the installation creates a strong visual impact without reaching the dimensions of some of our XXL urban lettering projects. It was specifically designed to be installed during Pink October and reused for future editions of the campaign.
A visible symbol of local community support
The town of Noirmoutier-en-l’Île already organizes various initiatives as part of Pink October, including charity events and breast cancer awareness activities.
This custom 3D concrete lettering complements these initiatives by creating an instantly recognizable feature in the public space.
Its pink color transforms the installation into a powerful communication tool: it attracts attention, highlights the municipality’s commitment and provides an ideal backdrop for photographs and promotional materials related to the campaign.
Pink October: a month dedicated to breast cancer awareness
Every year, Pink October raises awareness of breast cancer screening while supporting research and people affected by the disease.
By adopting the campaign’s iconic pink color, the Noirmoutier lettering becomes part of this collective effort. Throughout the campaign, it serves as a highly visible landmark promoting an important message of prevention, awareness and solidarity.
Fully customized 3D concrete printing
This project also demonstrates that 3D concrete printing can create much more than permanent city-name installations.
Dimensions, typography, proportions, colors and intended uses can all be customized to meet specific requirements.
Thanks to our additive manufacturing technology, we can extrude concrete directly from a digital 3D model, producing customized shapes without manufacturing a dedicated mold for each letter.
This concrete extrusion process provides considerable design flexibility, whether for monumental urban lettering, building signage or, as in this case, a temporary event installation.
Dimensions adapted to the location and purpose
With a total length of 3.50 metres, the NOIRMOUTIER lettering was designed to remain highly visible and visually striking while maintaining dimensions suitable for seasonal installation.
This is one of the main advantages of custom 3D concrete printing: there are no fixed standard dimensions.
A project can be compact, monumental or anywhere in between.
