A custom creation for a dynamic cultural venue
The town of Saleilles, south of Perpignan, recently inaugurated a new music and dance center named after French-Lebanese trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf. To enhance this new cultural space, the municipality wanted to add original and artistic outdoor elements. 3D Concrete was selected to design two custom-made planters using 3D concrete printing.
Two unique pieces, tailored to the setting
The planters feature an organic design with textured, extruded concrete surfaces. One planter combines red and white gradients, while the other mixes yellow and white, creating a vivid and warm atmosphere that blends naturally with the building’s surroundings. These fully custom pieces demonstrate the creative freedom enabled by additive manufacturing in public space design.

Technology suited for custom design
Thanks to our 3D concrete printing system based on controlled extrusion, we created complex geometries without traditional formwork. This innovative method enables fast production of unique, durable, and weather-resistant pieces while reducing standard fabrication steps.
A cultural opening event
The official inauguration, attended by Ibrahim Maalouf himself, gathered many local figures, including elected officials and institutional representatives. Composer and conductor Daniel Tosi also attended, emphasizing the strong cultural dimension of this new creative space.

Design, strength, and customization
Custom 3D concrete printing makes it possible to combine freeform shapes, precision, and durability. These planters, beyond their botanical function, contribute to the site’s identity. They reflect a commitment to creative, sustainable, and innovative urban design.
