An iconic yellow XXL lettering facing the ocean

In Bénodet, a 5-star seaside resort in Finistère, the municipality wanted to strengthen its visual identity along the waterfront.
The new monumental #BENODET lettering, manufactured in 3D-printed concrete by 3D Concrete, now stands out as a strong urban landmark: a meeting point, a photo spot and a place to stroll, between the esplanade, the sea and the horizon.

A solar yellow that lights up brittany

The choice of a bold yellow color is no coincidence. Installed facing the Atlantic Ocean, these giant letters bring a touch of light and warmth to the Breton coastline.
As summed up by a local resident interviewed on TF1, “it brings a little bit of sunshine to our Brittany.”
This vibrant color interacts with the sky, the water and surrounding façades, while ensuring excellent readability both from afar and up close.

3D concrete printing serving coastal cities

For this project, 3D Concrete implemented additive manufacturing technology, extruding concrete letter by letter using optimized geometry.
This process offers great freedom of form for custom urban lettering, adapted to the site’s topography and installation constraints.
The precision of the method guarantees consistent volumes, a refined surface finish and a perfectly stable base — essential in a marine environment.

Robust, durable and easy-to-maintain urban furniture

Designed for public spaces and exposure to sea air, the lettering is produced in 3D concrete with adapted formulations, combining mechanical strength, durability and ease of maintenance.
The mass of the concrete limits the risk of damage, even under intensive use (crowds, children climbing, frequent photography).
The finishing layer applied to all letters ensures resistance to weather conditions and UV exposure, preserving color and appearance throughout the seasons.

A powerful attractiveness tool for local authorities

Beyond the object itself, this type of custom 3D concrete lettering becomes a true promotional tool for a municipality: a city gateway marker, a photo spot for residents and visitors, and a strong communication medium on social networks.
By relying on innovation and additive manufacturing, Bénodet strengthens its image as a welcoming and dynamic seaside resort.

For other cities or intermunicipal authorities, this project clearly demonstrates how 3D concrete printing can create unique, durable urban signatures, perfectly integrated with local identity.
