A reception desk designed for a public space
As part of the interior design of the new Saleilles media library, the city wanted a reception desk that would be both functional and elegant.
3D Concrete was commissioned to design a fully bespoke reception unit, tailored to the identity of the space and the daily needs of its staff.
The goal: combine working comfort for the team with contemporary, design-driven aesthetics in a cultural space oriented toward innovation.
Balancing design and ergonomics
This project required a co-design phase with the media library team to meet precise operational constraints: legroom, height, storage zones, accessibility and circulation.
Thanks to the flexibility of our 3D concrete printing technology, we were able to extrude concrete into smooth curved forms, integrating recesses adapted to the staff’s workflow.
The result is a fluid, finely detailed piece of furniture that blends naturally into the architecture of the space.
Technology serving custom-made design
Custom 3D concrete printing makes it possible to produce complex shapes without traditional formwork, with a high degree of precision.
